We are currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation of our office.
Hands on training will be provided in office with printed guides for reference throughout training process.
An ideal candidate can look forward to growing knowledge in the optical field and gaining skills to ultimately become a dispensing optician in time.
Responsibilities:
As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a crucial role as the first point of contact for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming Patients:
Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive at the office.
Ensure a positive and comfortable experience for all visitors.
Appointment Scheduling:
Manage the appointment calendar efficiently, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits.
Patient Check-In and Check-Out:
Collect and verify patient information during check-in.
Assist in the completion of necessary paperwork.
Process payments, issue receipts, and provide a smooth check-out process.
Phone and Email Communication:
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist patients with appointment scheduling or general information.
Manage email correspondence promptly and professionally.
Insurance Verification:
Verify insurance information, explain coverage details to patients, and assist in processing insurance claims as needed.
Maintaining Reception Area:
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
Ensure reading materials are up-to-date and create a comfortable waiting environment for patients.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology, especially in optometry, is an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in basic computer skills, including experience with office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
