ROLE:
Happy Nuts seeks a hard-working and dedicated Laboratory technician to join our R&D team.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will assist our head of R&D with all laboratory tasks, including formulation, stability, batching, and day-to-day tasks.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate and highly organized with acute attention to detail to help R&D develop high quality, best-in-class products for our consumers.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Prepare daily lab batches according to formulations provided and fill samples for submission.
Measure viscosity, pH, specific gravity, and other specifications of batch.
Conduct stability and compatibility testing and keep accurate records while maintaining a stability tracker.
Order raw material samples and maintain raw material inventory.
Maintain, organize, and order lab supplies/raw materials as necessary.
Calibrate equipment as needed.
Understanding of general cosmetic technology such as emulsion, polymers, and surfactants, as well as formulation techniques.
Enter data into formulation database as needed.
Contribute to routine laboratory housekeeping and day-to-day.
Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Environmental Health and Safety procedures, company safety rules, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP's), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in line with the company's objectives and policies at all times.
SKILLS, QUALITIES & BEHAVIORS B.

in Chemistry or a related Science is strongly preferred.
1-2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
Experience working in the personal care industry is preferred.
Highly organized and motivated individual.
You have strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
You have a strong work ethic; able to independently own and drive projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Google Docs with the ability to learn new software as needed.
We take our work seriously and ourselves un-seriously.
You should know how to both get your work done and have a good time to fit in well with our company culture.
